Lloyd Christmas, 33, who traded his sheep-dog van straight-up for a motorcycle that can barely support two riders, was praised just moments ago by his best friend Harry Dunne, 32.
Dunne, who angrily decided to walk to Aspen in a rage leaving his friend behind, turned around nearly 40 minutes later to find his friend driving a newly acquired rusty two-wheeler from the 1960s. Dunne’s original source of anger stemmed from Christmas misguiding them into driving “a sixth of the way across the country in the wrong direction!", to which Christmas responded “Hey man! We’re in a hole…we just have to dig ourselves out!”.
But Dunne's rage quickly turned into pride after seeing the tiny, motorized rust-bucket that can allegedly “get 70 miles to the gallon”. At first, Dunne expressed shock and disbelief that appeared to nearly transform into anger, but he surprisingly was grateful, joyous and excited. “Just when I thought, you couldn’t BE any dumber… you go and do something like this,” he began.
“…AND TOTALLY REDEEM YOURSELF!” he jubilantly exclaimed. The travel partners then set on their way and headed towards Aspen to reportedly return a briefcase that was left at an airport by a young woman in their hometown of Providence, Rhode Island.
"Still wanna go to Aspen!??!" asked Christmas.
"Yea-huh!!," responded Dunne.
